Pennsway and many other Squadrons nation wide are offering this outstanding curriculum as a Classroom Learning Course in lieu of the the longer USPS Squadron BOATING COURSE® which includes charting and plotting.
The America’s Boating Course is offered on a CD-ROM with a 76 page Student Manual, has student mentoring by members of the United States Power Squadrons and the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary (Email and Phone calls).
This course was initially designed as a joint venture between USPS and the USCGAux. for boaters who could not attend evening or weekend classes to learn the boating basics for a variety of reasons, and is a combination of the best teaching expertise of both organizations.
Learn at your own pace, involve your whole family and have the comfort of being able to contact a local Squadron member for answers to your questions and/or explanations to course material.
When you feel ready to take the ABC exam (50 questions) and the Pennsylvania state specific exam (10 additional questions) your Squadron mentor will be happy to administer the Proctored Exams.
